Fransua Dubua sent me a detailed letter explaining that Austral means "south" in Spanish. He also sent me this bag. It dates from 1985, when this airline was owned by an Argentinian millionaire.

Australian Airlines

Nothing printed on this photo bag to say what airline it is from. Three clues, though: the postage is paid in Australia, the mailing address is in New South Wales, and some bright spark has written "Australian Airlines" in one of the few empty white spaces.
