Obviously part of a major corporate redesign. JAL has
put the crossbar back on its A, but it's not content to sit horizontally
like good crossbars should: it zooms upwards in stomach-churning
exuberance. Thanks to Karl English.

The grey in the JAL logotype has been redone with a finer raster.

Dried blood? Not sure how else to describe this colour. Why on earth did
JAL go from a fresh, lively red to this drab, uninspired decor?
There's a letter D in the gusset of this bag, in the
same pink.

Like the bag above, but with a black J printed in the gusset instead of
the D.

Top executives at JAL didn't like the new logo or colour
scheme. They didn't even like the JAL acronym. So they've renamed the
airline "Japan Airlines" and borrowed the old Lufthansa look and have gone
for dark grey. Elegant? No: boring. This bag is not going to keep passengers
entertained for very long.
