I've just discovered another way to differentiate these
Qantas bags apart from the number (CA 97 in this case): check the reverse
side for the date the "introductory developing offer" expires.
On this bag, it's 31st January 2000. After that date, the bag is good only
for collecting or barfing into. No point in stockpiling bags so you can
get a lifetime's cheap film processing. Thanks to Bedford McIntosh.

One of the world's few triple-use bags: use it to dispose of motion
sickness, rubbish, or unwanted rolls of film.

Has the code CA99 instead of BU97. Does
that make it a different bag? Check the gussets, and you'll see the
computer system requirements are different: you now need DX-enhanced mode
(whatever that is), and the images are saved in a higher resolution. Thanks to Graham Curran. (2000) |
