From visual surfeit (below) to bold-but-subtle. Unfortunately the designer of this bag didn't know that I scan my bags then rotate them 90 degrees to the left, so the opening is on the left side.

Sterling (Stella)

A rare example of a photograph of a stewardess on a bag - even if she is wearing a wig.

According to bagdonor Eirik Erstad, her name is Stella. She is the brainchild of Sterling's marketing department. She's wearing a uniform from the 1950s, even though Sterling's aircrew have recently been reclothed in a slimmer grey kit.

Stella is making what could well be an obscene gesture over her left breast. Oh, sorry, it's a heart, and it's meant to show you how much Sterling would appreciate it if you were to join their frequent flier club and advertise on this bag.
